Complying with employment law remains one of the most significant legal issues a business owner faces responsibility for, and with the ever changing legal landscape, it is getting harder. It’s important for employers to have a regular review of legal developments in employment law and HR matters. As part of Andrews Ritson’s programme of Directors’ Breakfast Briefings, we’re pleased to announce our latest meeting will be on the subject of “The Top Ten Current Employment Law Issues” which employers need to be aware of.

Our specialist consultant solicitor Anna Bunning will be speaking on this subject, looking at key important developments which took place last year (the abolition of tribunal fees meaning more claims are likely), and some which are due to be introduced soon (such as GDPR, and changes to leave and benefits) and will be on hand to answer any other queries attendees may have at this time.

Our Breakfast Briefings are designed to be short practical presentations on matters of relevance to business owners, discussed in an informal setting over a breakfast at our offices here in Bridgnorth. Past subjects for the briefings have included how to handle grievances and disciplinaries, the enforceability of restrictive covenants, and the benefits of workplace mediation.

Our original date for the briefing, namely 25 January, is almost fully booked (so please notify us asap if you’d like a seat for next week!), but we are planning another event with the current level of interest.
